About the Taiwan Bamboo Society
Taiwan Bamboo Society
As a national non-profit organization, the Taiwan Bamboo Society aims to serve as a platform for domestic and international bamboo industry exchanges. Through information, technology, culture, education, and promotion within the global green economy, it seeks to stimulate domestic industry development via international exchanges and revitalize Taiwan's bamboo industry.
Currently, the members include those in bamboo cultivation and management, bamboo research and education, bamboo processing and craftsmanship, bamboo architecture and engineering, and landscape design. The members from industry, government, and academia are all dedicated to the basic research, practical application, cultural and educational promotion of Taiwan's native bamboo materials, revitalizing Taiwan's bamboo industry economy and sustainable bamboo forest development, and sharing bamboo R&D technology internationally to promote transnational and cross-disciplinary cooperation and development.
